Thanksgiving week in Tennesee

We left for Tennessee a week before Thanksgiving to spend some quality time with Gee Gaw (sp?) (aka Jasmine's Great Grandpa). Boy was it a treat, but first we had to get there. It normally takes about 11 hours of drive time to get there, but we made it in 13 1/2 hours with Jasmine. She did really good and did not get carsick this time. Praise the Lord! She did get cranky before her naps because I think she was tired of being in her car seat. Here is a picture of her sleeping peacefully for a nap.

The entire hotel was decorated with Christmas lights. It was spectacular. Jasmine giggled and was excited about the sights and sounds of this place. This is the only place where I would spend $18 to park (but is free to go in and see).

Jasmine in a little blue rocking chair at Gee Gaw's house. Jasmine pulled up and cruised along furniture for the first time this past week. Do you see how she is itching to get out of the rocking chair??? Jasmine is more interested in us walking her around the house fifty thousand times than crawling. Every day her balance and reliance on holding on to us is getting to be less and less. I think walking will come very soon.

The night before we left, I realized that we didn't have a picture of all of us. My mom was in bed, so we took this shot to capture the moment. We had such a wonderful time with Grandpa. We ate way too much and laughed a lot. We already miss him!
