Saturday we went on a long journey far from home . . . to downtown Houston. It was a busy and fun day. We left the house at 7:30 a.m. and got to the Cockrell Butterfly Center at 9 a.m. sharp. We purchased our tickets, got to the entrance of the Butterfly center and then they told us that it was closed until 10:30 a.m. for a private function. WHAT! We got up early to get to this place right when it opened and then our plans were foiled. We ended up strolling around the rose garden and along Hermann park. We finally got to see the Butterflies and boy did we all enjoy the beauty of God's creation. Jasmine wanted to grab all the butterflies, but they were faster than her little hands and fortunately they could fly away. :) Afterwards, we went to our favorite Greek restaurant Niko Niko's and met up with my cousins Alex and Olivia. We stuffed ourselves silly and Jasmine enjoyed looking at everyone in the restaurant. What a fun time with family!

So we were about to leave and I told Jeremy how I wished that there was a wooden cutout of a butterfly that we could put Jasmine's face in . . . well it is not a butterfly, but it will do. Don't they look cute?
A spectacular Amethyst geode - do you see the grown man in the background? Boy it was HUGE and beautiful!
Sounds fun! Jasmine is so adorable. Red is one of the many colors that look great on her. I love the bow, too. :) Good family times.
