Trip to a ranchette!!

What is a ranchette? Well it is not a farm and not as big as a ranch . . . so Jazzy and I made the trek to Jody's parents ranchette in San Antonio. We left last Wednesday and got back on Friday so it was a super short trip, but it was nice for me to have a change in scenery and pace of life. It has been way too hectic in the Little household. We mostly visited with Jody's parents and grandmommy, played in the sand box, ran in the grass, Jazzy talked extensively to the animals, I ate way too many sweets, etc. It was a great time!

Here is our chauffeur for the trip, Jody! Here are the two sleepy passengers I had to tend to. It looks like an easy job, but let me tell you it wasn't so easy when the two of them woke up. I felt like a stewardess from the front seat!

Jazzy and Cole playing in the sand
Cole & Jazzy bathing post sandbox. Jazzy had sand all on her scalp. It was a mess to clean out, but she had a ball.

Me, Grandma, Pa and the kiddos going for a ride
The two horses -- the one on the right is Cole's. His name is Ace.
We didn't get a picture of Jasmine on a horse, so this will have to do! Look at that goofy smile! I love it!
The cows -- Jasmine was kinda shocked when they actually moooed at her
This is how the counters looked when I got home from the trip. Yes, that is 100+ books. Thankfully they were free. My hubby is a little obsessed with books. Where are we going to put all of them? Anyone know how to hang shelves? :)

  1. Sigh, what is up with these guys and books? I married a reader too, but it looks like you have it worse than me. I shouldn't complain.
