Last week was the only real time Jeremy has been out from school, so we decided to stay in town and hit the local sites. We got a City Pass which got us into all the attractions for a discounted price.
First stop was the Children's Museum. The second floor had a special area for toddlers, so it was great for her to roam around and explore. Jasmine is opening the door to some mice having a birthday party. It cracks me up because it reminds me of Jasmine singing happy birthday to me over and over in the car, at home, etc. We are not really sure where she picked it up at, but it cracks us up!
Here are Jeremy and Jasmine exploring the Water Works area outside. She loved it . . . she loves anything with water!
Next stop was the Downtown Aquarium. They had a nice selection of sea life to look out. Here is Jasmine in some scuba gear. I think it is a little big!
Here is the white tiger they had on display at the aquarium.
A silly shot of Amachi and me with the shark outside

The next day we joined Anne and John at their splash pad. We had never been and it was SO fun! Here is Jazzy chauffeuring John around!
Anne & John striking a pose. Doesn't Anne look awesome? Who knew she just had a baby?
Jeremy and his little mermaid
Next stop was the Space Center. Here is the token picture of a rocket! I was overheating after the tram tour, so not too many pictures were taken.
On the last day we went to the zoo. It was nice to go again and see the animals we liked. We went by the elephants, giraffes, lizard house, bears, big cats, and Jasmine's favorite of the day . . . primates!
Last stop . . . the Museum of Natural Science. We paid a bit extra and went to the Cockrell Butterfly Center as well. Jasmine was filled with glee.
I love this place. Look how beautiful!

All in all it was a nice week and really busy! The city pass is a good deal if you want to go to all those attractions in a 9 day period. Jasmine was free everywhere except the Children's museum. Parking was charged at the Downtown Aquarium, Space Center and Children's museum. Margaret blogged that you could park on a neighboring street for free at the Children's museum. The Space Center was probably the least toddler friendly in our opinion, but it will be an awesome place when she gets older. I can't wait to show her these places again! On a side note -- Jasmine pooped in the potty for the second time and this time it was on Daddy's watch. Whoo hoo! Baby steps . . . gotta go!
I am so glad that you got to enjoy so much family time! Thanks for the peak into your "vacation."
