We have been busy!

Now that the office has merged with the front room, the piano is getting more play by Jeremy and our little pianist Jasmine.
Here is Jasmine playing around. She likes to sing her own made up songs that would not make sense to you or I. She also has been singing her ABCs often. She now can sing the entire alphabet if she sticks with the song. She definitely makes a sound for each letter . . . it may not be the right one, but she is trying. It is really cute!
Sunday we went to see Uncle Alex and Auntie Olivia. I don't have pics of them (Marti please send me yours), but I sure got a picture of my sweetie pie at their house and ours. We had such a good time hanging out with my cousins. We ate fabulous seafood Paella and tiramasu made by the beautiful Olivia. I was stuffed to the gills!
On August 6th we had a momentous day in the Little household. Jasmine pooped in the potty for the first time ever!!! It was such a surprise. We bought a potty seat to fit on the toilet back in April. In the beginning she would sit for just a few seconds and want off. I left the potty seat on the floor in our bathroom and she would play with it on and off. I didn't want to push the issue so we have just been talking about it a lot. I want to say over the past month, she has eagerly wanted me to put her on the potty seat. We have done this a handful of times. Her enthusiasm and eagerness to use the potty was so cute, but we never really had success until yesterday. She informed me yesterday that she wanted to go to the potty, so I scooped her up and starting reading a Garfield book that was laying around (Jeremy's reading material for the day). All of the sudden I hear success. I could not believe it. Jeremy, Amachi and I all stood around afterwards and clapped for the big girl. She got to flush the toilet and then go for a quick trip to PetCo to see all the animals. So when we ask her about going to the potty she says, "Flush toilet" and then "All clean"!! We will have to wait and see if this is a one time event or a normal thing. See the proud big girl retelling the story!

Here is Jazzy drawing over some drawings her daddy did with her. Pencils are crazy dangerous in the hands of a toddler! She loved scribbling all over the paper.

Other things I wanted to document because I have a bad memory
  • Early on I bought Jasmine two princess sippy cups. I couldn't resist since one of them had Princess Jasmine on it. Anyways, the cup with Princess Jasmine also has Ariel and Snow White. One morning a couple of weeks ago Jeremy pointed to the Princess Jasmine and asked Jazzy who it was. She quickly replied that it was her mommy! How sweet is that! I don't know where she came up with it, but I was so tickled. Who knew I looked so good at 24 weeks pregnant???

  • Jasmine's new favorite game to play is chase. She will start taking off in one direction and say "going to get you". It is so cute! She wants you to chase, then tickle her and she then proceeds to do that to anyone around. Her favorite chase partner is her sweet daddy. I LOVE seeing and hearing them play. Jeremy is the best dad a girl could ask for. He is fun, loving and teaches her all sorts of stuff like about sunlight, the moon, darkness, etc.
  • On Tuesday, August 4th I decided to throw Jasmine in the baby pool. Sometimes we put her in her swimsuit and other times she goes in the buff. I told her we had to clean up the toys in the living room before we went to the pool. I have never seen her help clean up so fast! I go outside to fill the pool and she is watching me through the window with such glee. Tuesday was what we like to call a eurobaby day. I toss her in the pool and she splashes and plays with her toys for a while. Her daddy joins us after his hard day of studying and then she goes really nuts. She decides to get out of the pool and run through the backyard while her daddy chased her with a water hose. You have to understand that that along is huge. Jasmine used to HATE walking in any sort of grass even with shoes on. Now she is running in the buff across not only green grass, but some of our crispy fried grass. It was hilarious!
  • Cookie update -- well Seth is growing by leaps and bounds or maybe I should say I am growing by leaps and bounds. My tummy is poking out SO far and I got 112 days to go! I was big with Jazzy, but I don't remember if my tummy poked out like this. Ronda I have not forgotten about your preggo pics you requested. I will take some next time we are out! Due to the tummy, I have started to get some lower abdominal pains as all of it stretches. I have not liked this one bit! Seth has started kicking. Some days I think he is practicing soccer or something. I am worried that if I feel him kick like this now, what will it be like in 112 days? I am scared. Jeremy recently felt him move as well which was pretty cool.
  • Seth's room is beginning to look like a storage closet. I have Jasmine's old clothes to go through and give for baby Leah. I have Cole's old clothes to go through and put in Seth's room. I just want to say how thankful I am for hand me down clothes. Plus I have all the random stuff I took from Jasmine's closet (baby items) and tossed them in his room too. The room also contains a loveseat, dresser, a chest of drawers and Jasmine's soon to be big girl bed. I guess you gotta make a mess to get organized.
  • I just ordered a huge set of big girl bedding for dirt cheap. I can't wait to see it in person. I am sure there will be pictures to come for you when we put together Jazzy's big girl room.
  • Lastly I want to say that I am SO proud of my hubby. He has worked so hard this semester and it is only by God's grace that he got through it. 16 hours of graduate level classes during the summer is not an easy task! Jeremy told be before I went to bed that he would finish studying for his last final and take it. I have no clue what time he came to bed, but I am pretty sure he is done done. I have to be good and not wake him up. I am so bad at that! :)
