Jasmine update

Well Jasmine is about 1 year 9 1/2 months old. She is doing so many new things it is just incredible! I love all her words and expressions. I really wish I could capture every single one of them, so here goes for a quick list . . . . She loves to say "Oh my goodness!!" real loud. I think she picked that up from me and I didn't realize I said it so much until I started hearing her. Now everytime I say it, I think whoa I really do say it a lot. When I ask Jasmine where something is she says, "Right there" and points with her little finger. It is so cute! Also she has started negotiating . . . she wants to see just "One" video (short ones from YouTube about ballerinas or elephants or whatever else Jeremy can find) and puts out her one finger.

Recently she is getting more into the idea of a birthday party. I think it is because we have shown her some pictures of her one year party, so she tells us about a birthday party and how she needs one cake and one balloon in her highchair. We tell her birthday is still over two months away, but what does that mean to a toddler really. Everyday she points to the calendar and mentions the birthday thing. What are we to do? Fortunately for her there are several birthday parties to attend and more importantly cakes to eat before her actual birthday.

As far as the big girl bed is going . . . well it is not going too bad. We did have about four days where she kept getting out of her bed and not taking a nap. Much discipline was given those days and now we seem to have won that battle . . . I am not naive I know the war is still ongoing. :) Jeremy moved the crib out of her room and into Seth's room. She has no desire to go into her crib and calls it baby Seth's bed. Yeah for us!

This past Thursday, Jasmine had her first bout with stomach issues. She was about to go to bed and started vomiting . . . it was like watching a movie or something . . . there was so much vomit. She did it about three more times that night before she was done and then proceeded to sleep until morning. She never had a fever or anything. I guess something didn't settle right in her belly. Poor little girl! She talks about it everyday on how she spit it out aka vomited. Well we thought all was well until this morning . . . again out of no where she started vomiting up her breakfast while she was eating it. She has been fine since and still no fever. I have got no idea what is going on with her.

Jazzy up close

Jasmine hiding in the curtains. Jazzy's grandma e-mailed me this one today and I just had to share. I think Jasmine is so beautiful and fun. She is such a special gift from the Lord . . . words just can't describe how blessed I feel to be her mom!

Tomorrow morning we will be going to sneak a peak at baby Seth! Be expecting a quick update.
