This picture was taken December 9th . . . He was 3 weeks and 1 day. Can you believe he is 4 weeks and 1 day today? I am amazed at how fast time is flying. At his 2 week appointment he was 20 1/2" long, 7 lbs 3ozs. I have no clue how much he weighs now, but I do believe he is a chunky monkey.
I am still so behind on my posts. Both kids are napping right now, so I jumped on the computer to get to this. Having Seth has been so awesome. He is a good baby and doesn't cry much unless he is hungry or gassy. He is just so handsome like his daddy and is so very soft. I don't remember Jasmine being so soft, but that might be because I was a newbie mommy concerned with not breaking her new baby. This time around seems so much easier in some ways . . . I think we have the newborn thing under control although the sleep deprivation is not the best for my daily outlook. Seth has been having longer stretches of sleep in the night which has been a pleasant surprise for me. Jasmine has been doing so great with Seth around. She is patient to wait for things like mommy plugging in the Christmas tree or getting her a snack. I thought she would be so whiney when I fed/diaper Seth, but she seems to understand that he needs my attention. Her daddy and her continue to be the best of buddies. Who blames her? He tosses her in the air, sings to her and gives her waffles for breakfast.
So I think we are trying to get out of "Survival" mode. I can't believe that I have had Seth for 4 weeks and a day. Seriously? We have just been getting through each day . . . me with the kiddos and Jeremy with work/school/kiddos/me. I think Jeremy has had the fuller plate during the day, but overall I am on call 24 hours since I am the milk lady. Gotta love it! I am so very thankful for my beautiful family. They bring me so much joy.
Today Jeremy will finish his last assignment for school and then he will be done until the Spring semester starts. I am beyond excited! We will get to work on some of my "honey do" list and prepare for Jasmine's 2nd birthday that will be here on Friday. I can't wait.
