On July 12th, Jasmine went to her first Bible Camp. Our sunday school class ladies organized such a nice bible camp that included a bible lesson, songs, crafts, snacks, and playground time for four days. Jasmine had a blast. Each morning I would tell her that we were going to bible camp and she would be so excited that it was happening again and again! The first day I volunteered to watch the babies of the ladies working the camp. The sad thing is that I only really got to help after Seth took a nap . . . bad separation anxiety these days! The second day I was not scheduled to volunteer, so I dropped Jasmine off. I hadn't really thought about it before that moment, but as I was watching Jasmine walk into the camp, I started to get choked up. My little girl was going to camp by herself! I have always snickered inside when people talk about crying when their kid went to kindergarten or wherever for the first time. I stand corrected. It is sad when you realize your little girl is growing up!

Day 4 Theme - Being fishers of men

A picture of Jasmine when I picked her up from her last day at camp.
She had so much fun learning about God and playing with friends. The best thing she told me today was that the bible camp was coming to our house. Yes, we can have bible camp here everyday! What an awesome way to end the camp! I am so thankful to the women in our class that put this together and volunteered each day. They are SO talented, love the Lord, and love all our children. Oh and a special thanks to Ryan, Genevieve, Celeste, and Elsha who were crazy enough to let 19 children (from 2 to 5 years old) over to their house for four straight days!
