On Sunday, September 12th we dedicated Seth to the Lord at our church. Jeremy and I committed to model for Seth what a Christ follower is, to pray for him regularly and to guide him in his understanding of what Christ followers believe. We look forward to the day when he makes the decision to trust in Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior.
Verses read during the ceremony
“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights.” James 1:17
“Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” Proverbs 22:6
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” Deut. 6:5-7
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:11-13

The only sad thing is that Jasmine had to stay with Grandma since she was running fever and under the weather. Thank you Grandma for playing her while we were at church with Seth. Jasmine in her cute dress before we left for church. I told her she could wear that dress on Sunday and so she did even though it was only to Grandma's house.
