Goat farm

Monday, October 11th we headed out to Hempstead and visited Grandma's friend Lucille.  I have always heard wonderful things about this woman and her farm, so it was about time that we all headed out there.  Jeremy was off for Columbus day, so he was able to come along with Grandma, Amachi, Jasmine, Seth and of course me.  We got there and the goats were in the field.  We visited with Lucille and explored around the area. We also had a nice lunch that Grandma brought.  It was amazing to talk with Lucille about her daily life.  She lived on this farm by herself and takes care of all the goats, the house, etc.  She has each goat named and they have cute names.  I am amazed at all she does and I think she is in her seventies.  I feel so silly complaining when she does so much by herself.

Jasmine and Jeremy found a gigantic spider eating a grasshopper. Yikes!

Jasmine & Jeremy in front of a tractor.  Yes, my daughter loves machinery now as she watches Bob the Builder.  First, Thomas the Train and now, Bob the Builder.  What will be next??
