On January 7th, we busted out of the house and went for a walk in some lovely weather. We thought ahead and brought tons of bread that we had froze for such an occasion. We went to the pond and started feeding the fish and turtles as usual. Then, we moved to our second location and continued feeding the animals. Sometimes we see this big white bird. It is so beautiful. We got lucky and saw him this time. We not only saw him, but got up close and personal. You see I didn't realize that the bird eats fish, so when he started walking towards us I just thought he was taking a closer look at what we were doing. He is actually a super smart bird and hung out with us while we lured the fish up to the surface with our bread. He snapped up one fish and swallowed it whole and then did it one more time. It was really an awesome moment to watch him. God has created the coolest animals!

After we got home, I searched and searched for a picture of this guy on the web. I finally figured out he is a Great white egret. He is really a beautiful bird.

Jasmine wanted to take some pictures, so here is one of them. She took a picture of me, the ground, the pond, etc. It was pretty cute.
