I feel like all my posts end up sounding the same, but seriously I am always surprised by how big Jasmine is looking these days. She is so tall and independent with many things. Her grandma had a talk with her on Feb. 27th about how when grandma was a little girl she wore panties to bed. Of course the next morning she had a dry diaper. Now have had several conversations before with her, but Grandma has the secret touch in the end. We decided to leave her in panties during nap on March 1st and she has done great with that. She has had a dry diaper the last six nights, so I see panties at night in the near future. Yeah for Jasmine!
Jasmine is still a daddy's girl. She loves to play with him and for him to read to her before bed. She also is a major staller when it comes to bedtime. She knows that if she asks her daddy all these open ended questions, he will take the time to answer them. She is such a smartie! Jeremy used to stall as a child. He stalled so much that their family parakeet started saying "Jeremy go to bed, Jeremy go to bed". True story!
Every once in a while, Jasmine will practice reading three letter words. She has got those down if they use the natural sounds of letters (is that how you say it?). She has read a few four letter words too. She can write some letters, but we haven't really worked on that yet.
She has so much to say and is curious. Today she brought up heaven and we had a very brief discussion about it. She told me she doesn't want to go to heaven, but would rather go to McDonald's. I can't believe she said that. If she said Chik-Fil-A, then that would make at least some sense. :) I enjoy watching her use big adult words in totally the wrong way.
She is entralled with Grandma's smartphone. She loves to feed Grandma's fish and watch some videos. She got a tiny purse from Grandma just yesterday and she saw 3 one dollar bills on the counter, proceeded to swipe them and place it in her purse. Yes, I can feel the money draining that is yet to come. :)
I have to mention how sweet my daughter's prayers are these days. She has prayed for several people being sick or experiencing hard times and her prayers are so beautiful and pure. One of the prayers made both me and Jeremy cry at dinner. She loves going to sunday school. Mr. Jim is her favorite teacher. He is the first one she has really had where she knows his name. She always asks if he will be there. I feel bad for all the other teachers in her classroom because in Jazzy's eyes Mr. Jim is like a movie star. I am thankful for his impact in her little life.
As of 10:49 p.m. on March 22nd, I am all caught up with my blogging. I will try to do better in the future. Good night!
