Cuties!!!

Poor little Jasmine. Last Monday we went to the doctor for her cough and discovered that she had a double ear infection. Yikes! She just finished her antibiotic and let me tell you it had some yucky side effects in the diaper department. I am glad for that to be done. She seems to be doing much better now. This week was low key, but we did manage to go to the neighborhood park with my friend Jody and her son Cole. It was the first time Jasmine had been to a playground since she started walking. She hates grass, but suprisingly she walked on the sand. She went down the slide like a thousand times thanks to Jody's help. She even wanted to climb up the playset stairs. She was more adventurous than ever. I can't believe that one day I will just sit on the park bench and watch Jasmine play with the other kids . . . all on her own. Wow!

Look at this cute outfit that Jasmine has on. We are so blessed to receive Reece's clothes. They were born in the same season, so her sweet mommy, Becky, offered them to me . . . at first I resisted and then I went for it. Thank you Becky and Daniel!!
This is a picture of Jasmine pointing. Jasmine has been such a sponge lately and pointing to animals/objects/people on a page when we say the word out loud. She is saying more and more words too (my favorite new one is baby). She amazes me with how much more she knows, but can't articulate yet.
Here are the gals from my Mothers of Preschoolers group aka MOPS. They are such awesome ladies!

Last to report on is a monarch butterfly cocoon that has taken residence in our rosemary bush. We have a butterfly weed that attracts the monarchs which lay eggs that eventually become butterflies. It is so neat to see the whole process and Max the cat loves to chase the butterflies through the window.

  1. I remember watching the other kids play while I followed Addison around, wondering what it would be like when she could run and play and climb all by herself. It seems like it is so far in the future because the others' physical skills are so much more advanced, but this year Jasmine will amaze you on a weekly, then daily, then hourly basis with all the things she does and says. And then she will crack you up every few minutes and you will be sure that you have the smartest, funniest kid in the world (which you do, of course!)

  2. Good gracious, that kid is so cute! POST MORE PICS! Her auntie Roda needs more pics!

There is something truly wonderful about moms sharing kids clothes-going through them and washing them and folding them and smiling at the memories they invoke is so special, coupled with sending those garments on to be a blessing to another mom, who will one day fold them, remember, and smile, too.
