You might wonder what is with the title . . .well if you lived at our house, you would be fully aware that Jasmine's birthday is on December 18th because we talk about her birthday party almost every day. Yes, Jasmine sings happy birthday to me most days and is waiting as best as she can for her birthday party. She says she wants one cake and one balloon in her highchair. This request stems from the first picture in this post. Since her initial request she has added that she would specifically like an Elmo balloon and ice cream to also be served. She cracks me up! Jeremy shows her the calendar and they discuss how far her birthday is, but it is a hard topic for toddlers to get. :) She is thankful for birthday parties or any celebration because most of them involve sweets and that has satisfied her in the short term as she waits for her momentous day!
On other news, Jasmine is growing like a weed. She amazes us with the phrases she uses and things she recognizes while out and about. She can count to ten when she stays focused. She is also recognizing a lot of her alphabet and numbers (1-10) by sight. She calls "T" taco sometimes because in one of her books it shows a food item for each letter. Too funny!
The latest hysterical thing is Jasmine points to Santa Claus pictures and says it is Noah from the Bible. I don't know how she came up with that, but we haven't started correcting on it just yet . . . it makes us chuckle!
She has become more active lately. She loves to go on walks outside where she can just walk on the sidewalk and pick up an occassional acorn. Sometimes she runs and other times she walks a bit this way and then turns around and goes back the other way. She is very much into exploring her world.
Her favorite place to go now is the grocery store. Now at Krogers you can snag a free cookie for your kiddo. I had resisted this temptation until two little girls came by with a cookie. Jasmine saw it and pointed out that they had a cookie. The girls mother proceeded to come by and told me that the bakery has them for free. I felt like a jerk for not getting Jazzy pants a cookie, so from then on she gets a cookie . . . or actually we get a cookie because she can't be having all that sugar by herself. :) Upon entering the store she lets me know that she would like her cookie. I guess my daughter will be a lifetime Krogerer.

Jasmine has become a world class conductor . . . not like the one for a train, but the one that leads an orchestra. Her and her daddy watch orchestras play on YouTube and she loves the conductor best. Her favorite song currently is Wagner's Tannhauser Overture. She "sings" the song even though it has no words and it really sounds like the song. She sings it sometimes when she wakes up in the morning or when she is falling asleep. She still loves music and dancing. She brings us so much joy!
Today I took Jasmine to get her first formal haircut. I have been trying to convince Jeremy that she needs a haircut to even out all the hair in the back and he finally caved in. She did so well at the place and enjoyed an Elmo video.
Before shots - front view
Afterwards I took a picture of her sporting the new haircut and having her first lollipop - Mango flavored!
