3/20/2010 - We were talking about seeds and decided to grow some pinto beans. Well according to some internet site, you soak the beans for a couple of hours, put it into a baggie with a damp paper towel and throw it into darkness. We would check those seeds daily, but then they just started molding. Poor Jazzy, she was so bummed that we had to throw them out. We need to try it again and maybe do it the traditional way with soil. :) Oh and a side note, Jasmine made the connection of us waiting for the seeds to grow with the story of Frog and Toad called "The Garden" where Toad plants some seeds and does numerous things to try to coax his seeds to grow . . . so Jasmine sang to her seeds. . . it was cute!

3/30/2010 - More cuteness!
Jasmine has been talking more and more these days. It amazes me what she has to say first thing in the morning . . . she always has something on her mind. Lately she has been having some difficult days as little brother is disturbing her beauty rest at night a bit. She still loves to dance, sing, play with her megablocks, astronauts, ABCs, baby, etc. She enjoys going to the library, getting new books, and especially picking up a new DVD. Her favorite DVDs are VeggieTales or as she likes to call them . . . WeggieTales. She is such a great big sister to Seth. Yesterday Seth was hanging out in his rocker and Jasmine started singing "If your happy and you know it, kiss Seth's feet". I don't know how she came up with kissing Seth's feet, but it was so very sweet. I wish I had those kind of moments on video, but I guess recording it here will have to do. Another funny thing she does is that she likes to play with Seth's toys. I will ask her whose toy she is playing with and she will pipe up and say that Jasmine is sharing . . . I guess there will be a lot of that kind of sharing in Seth's future. :) I have checked out some kid's books about sharing, saying please, thank you, etc . . . I think it is working a bit as she remembers to say please when she has requests instead of sounding demanding. Well gotta get a shower while the kiddos are still in bed. Have a great day!
