On August 11th, my friend Nichole brought a craft over for her, Sarah's kids, and Jazzy pants. They made a bird feeder from a toliet paper roll, some mixture of Crisco and peanut butter and bird seed. I asked Nichole about the Crisco and she said it was so the bird's beak didn't stick together. I get that, but how does Crisco fit into a bird's diet? Who knows! The kiddos had a great time making them. We put ours up right after everyone left.

24 hours later - Yes it looks spit shined to me . . . not a speck of peanut butter in sight! I did see a squirrel do a somersault with it on the first day!
