So this year has already been a busy one. On new year's day Jeremy gave me my birthday gift which was a responsibility free day. Since I had weaned Jasmine, I was completely free to do whatever I wanted. I left the house after breakfast and proceeded to Kohl's, Ross, Pier 1, Petsmart, Office Depot, Michael's, lunch with my friend Christa (who shopped with me after lunch) at Pei Wei, Kirkland's Home, Bath and Body Works, Victoria's Secret, Ann Taylor, The Container Store, coffee at Starbuck's, Harold Powell's, a nice visit at my friend Erica's house, and then finally dinner at my in-law's home. Oh and I didn't go to these places in the mall. YIKES! Now I am really not into shopping and I did actually very little purchasing, but it was so nice and refreshing to be out and about. I did not worry about nap times, entertaining Jasmine, dragging the stroller out, what I was going to make for dinner . . . my mind was quiet. It was the best gift ever! So here are some pics from Daddy/Jazzy day!
Jasmine and Daddy at the park
Daddy cleverly tied his robe belt to Jasmine's little ride on toy. They had a blast!
The week before Jeremy went back to school we decided to have family only time. We blocked out the entire week for each other. It has so nice not to have any distractions or obligations. Our first stop was the Aquarium at Moody Garden's in Galveston. We drove up to Galveston and were reminded that things are normal at my home post Hurricane Ike, but not for the people of Galveston. It was very sobering driving onto the island. We bought our tickets at the Aquarium and he said that the island looks great compared to what it did look like. Wow! Our hearts are with them. Jasmine's excitement raised our spirits and we enjoyed looking at all the exhibits.

Here is Jasmine in an adorable winter outfit! We had to put it on and have her dance around the house with it on. She is just so lovely!

Jasmine exploring the soft playground at the mall. She loved it!

I had gotten out my Graco SnugRider to lend to a friend and discovered how it could have been used all this time to drive Jasmine around the house for fun. She would lay in the basket and sometimes stand like the pic below.

During our family week we also went to the Ruckus Room for Toddler Tuesday (you pay the age of your child up to the regular price). It was so fun watching Jasmine explore and experience all the inflatable things they had there.
We were going to do so much more, but we got to save some stuff for the rest of the year! Have a wonderful week!
it sounds like you had such a fun day! My birthday is coming up...i might have to share this information with my husband :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun week! I bet you were exhausted by the end of your big shopping day. I got tired just reading that long list!
