Scavenger Hunt

This weekend we had planned to spend time together as a family. Jeremy said he would plan Friday, so first thing that morning I begin pestering him as to our plans. Here is the paper I received.

Scavenger Hunt

A day has been planned
Much time has been spent
To make you run ‘roud
Till you forgot where you went

Now proof is a must
Or the day tis a bust
Snap snap
Grin grin
Let the fun begin

This translates to dense Marianne having to solve riddles and taking pictures of the answer. I said the pictures all had to include Jazzy as a cute twist. The clues were not written in chronological order, but I did complete them that way.

# 2
When we fly we are on the ground
We glide on sheets with harshest sound
Now we slap and score
The crowd shouts for more

Ice Hockey (Aerodrome)

#7
I am full but never thirsty
Blue like glass my inner beauty
Ride me sink me
Some may drink me

Lake (We found a nice one in the Woodlands)

Jasmine's favorite part of the lake was walking all the way around it!

We were so close to Great Harvest Bread Co that I had to make an unscheduled stop to pick up some cookies and sample bread.

#1
I am the outline of what stops you daily
Bypass me and they’ll think you’re crazy
Stay too long they’ll think you’re lazy

Octagon (Stop sign in front of our house)

#8
You can come to me while driving in a car
Your radio complained that I killed its star
Take me home but bring me back
But little cash you soon will lack

Video (We were supposed to rent a movie to watch that night, but Jeremy forgot we had small group in the evening)

#6
I am straight and sure and a stickler
When jokes come by I am seldom the tickler
You both knew me daily
When you weren’t so lazy
I dwell in the bastions
That answers the questions
Of your vehicle’s rations

Engineer (I was supposed to take a picture of an oil & gas engineer, but I opted to go see my accounting friends at Anadarko. From left to right, Sam, Regina, Marisa, Kristi and Jazzy. Please note that they are holding a Petroleum accounting book for bonus points! Thanks guys!)

#5
I am the best in the country
Blessed with tasty sundry
Your tooth I shall tickle
Your stomach’s not fickle
Be bold and sample my cold creamy sickle

Yogurt (TCBY for dessert. Jasmine's first taste of frozen yogurt! She loved it!)

#4
A rumble a tumble for money you will fumble
Empty and yearning your body is churning
Now be full, but beware
Tis only natural fare

Organic (Lunch at Pizza Fusion since they are organic. I wanted to try this place out when we saw it a while back. The pizza is decent, but in my opinion it is overpriced. Everything in the restaurant is recycled (they assured me the food was not!)).

#3
Aloha I come from Hawaii
Now listen and hear all about me
My homeland is far from here
To find me you must follow your ear
And I will play a melodious harmony

Ukulele (I was going to go to a music store or bookstore to take a picture of one, but I had made Jeremy start this so early that those stores were not even open.)

Scavenger Found

The Order has purpose
Now pray thee don’t wander
Take time to decipher
Now sit there and ponder

My message to you dear
Should be perfectly clear
You already knew
That _________ (This is where I looked at all the answers from above)

He really does love me! I have wanted to do a scavenger hunt for a long time and it was so much fun! We got to talk in the car and act so silly. I am so blessed to have a wonderful husband. Did I mention how hot he is?
