Conversations with a toddler & going out in twos

So yesterday I asked Jasmine about all sorts of things during lunch. Her favorite . . . color is purple, food is ice cream (meatballs are high on the list along with chocolate and candy), drink is milk, song and YouTube video is Wagner's Tannhauser Overture, friend is Jade (in the same breath she mentions that she jumps on Jade's bed) . . . there were other things, but I have already forgotten . . . AHHHHH.

Jasmine and Seth's inaugural ride in the double stroller that my sweet friend Sarah gave to us.

I was not sure if Jasmine would want to be in a stroller after all these months of walking independence, but she was all about it. I am so thankful. This means I can get out of the house by myself with both kids and go for a nice walk on a beautiful day. Praise the Lord for this contraption!

We strolled to the pond around the corner. Jasmine with her favorite person . . . DADDY!

Jasmine recognizes her entire alphabet now and loves to play with her letter flash cards that came with the Leap Frog Letter Factory DVD she got for Christmas. She also loves playing with some plastic letters we have. She is alphabet crazy these days and makes me a little crazy too. We also have been having tea parties with Amachi and we have an extra cup waiting for little brother Seth when he gets bigger. Today we started using her little princess cup at meals instead of her usual sippy cup. Her grandparents started her on the cup when we were in the hospital with Seth, but I haven't really given Jasmine a chance to practice since then. Today she did really well with the cup . . . I think it is all the practice of drinking the milk from her bowl of cereal. :) Saturday we are going in for Jasmine's 2 year pictures. Yeah we are a little late. Oh and Seth will be 2 months old on Sunday. For the past few days, Jasmine and Seth have been taking a nap at around the same time. Oh what a dream!!! Now for Seth to sleep the entire night . . . one day . . . hopefully real soon! :)

  1. So glad it's coming in handy for you! We only had it because someone else was generous with us, so thanks, Wilsons!
